Get ready to dive into the captivating literary and film world with our second WEA Book Club, now with a screening of the Movie Adaptation. We're thrilled to invite you to join us on this exciting journey with us.

What: Book/Movie: We'll be delving into Colleen Hoover's powerful novel "It Ends With Us" and then gathering to experience its cinematic counterpart.

About the book / Movie: "Sometimes it is the one who loves you who hurts you the most." Get ready for an emotional rollercoaster as we follow Lily's journey through love, loss, and tough choices. Colleen Hoover's novel is a gripping tale that will keep you on the edge of your seat, and the movie adaptation promises to bring this powerful story to life in a whole new way.

How it Works:  Choose your ticket type:

Book and Movie: If you haven't read the book or don't have a copy yet, this option is for you. We will send you the book, and then join us on the 14th of August for a special screening of the film adaptation.

OR

Movie Only: Already read the book? No problem! Grab your ticket and join us for the movie night.

Why Join Us? Not only is this an opportunity to enjoy a fantastic story with fellow book and movie enthusiasts, but it also benefits a fantastic cause, with all proceeds from this event supporting our charitable partner, Soul Hub, Newcastle.

Details:

Date: Wednesday, 14th August

Location: Hoyts Cinemas, 244 Pacific Hwy, Charlestown NSW

Pre-Movie Festivities: Start at 5:45 PM (pre-movie mingling, raffles,  lucky door prizes & a glass of bubbles at the door)

Movie Starts: Promptly at 6:30 PM

All proceeds directly benefit Soul Hub.

Ticket Costs:

$75 per person: Book and Movie : Includes the book sent to your nominated address, your movie ticket, a glass of bubbles on arrival, and a drink with a small popcorn during the movie.

OR

$50 per person: Movie Only: includes your movie ticket, a glass of bubbles on arrival, and a drink with a small popcorn during the movie.

Why we raise funds for Soul Hub:

Soul Cafe was established in August 2003 to serve hot meals free of charge to the highly disadvantaged of the Newcastle region.

​Today, Soul Cafe provides hundreds of free sit-down and takeaway meals each week.

Many of Soul Cafe’s guests are dealing with issues of homelessness, drug or alcohol addiction, crime or violence, poverty, separation, mental health or illness concerns and accommodation needs.

Soul Cafe’s desire is to do more than just serve a meal. The ultimate mission of Soul Cafe is to see vulnerable cafe guests placed on a path towards increased safety, health and purpose. We aim to lift a group of people who are less fortunate to a greater level of lifestyle within our community through a comprehensive approach that assists them to work through their individual issues and to re-engage back into society. The meals provided are an avenue to link cafe guests with other necessary services, including drug and alcohol and substance abuse programs, accommodation links, Centrelink referral, mental health counselling, refuge referral, haircuts, Legal Aid, Podiatry and a free doctor’s clinic.

Soul Cafe is non-government funded and relies primarily on financial sponsorship from corporations and individuals and to a lesser extent on our own fundraising endeavours. They are a local community organisation addressing local community needs, supported by local community corporate and private members. Your booking is final once your payment is processed and a confirmation email is sent to you. 

No refunds will be given but you can pay it forward to another lady over the age of 18. Please email us at least 24 hours before the adventure and provide her contact details. This is an all-weather event. If cancelled by Women Embrace Adventure a credit or full refund will be provided.

This is a women's only adventure. Valid for sale until sold out. Advertised prices are per person. Prices are correct as of 13 March 2023 and are subject to availability, withdrawal and change at any time without notice due to fluctuations in charges and currency.

All current government safety and health guidelines at the time of booking and departure must be adhered to, including all Covid-19 requirements. Any additional costs related to but not limited to government travel restrictions are the responsibility of the individual traveller and not Women Embrace Adventure. If this trip is undersubscribed or in circumstances where external events affect the viability or safety of this trip to go ahead, Women Embrace Adventure reserves the right to cancel or reschedule and to exclude/remove any participants from this trip.
