There’s something that happens to you in Nepal that’s very hard to explain to someone who hasn’t been there. It starts quietly. A bumpy road. A warm welcome. A bowl of dahl baht made with heart. Children introducing themselves one by one in a village hostel, their faces full of curiosity and warmth. And before you’ve even laced up your boots for the first time, something inside you has already begun to shift. Nepal doesn’t announce itself. It doesn’t need to. It just quietly

What happens when a group of women — some strangers, some friends — say yes to something that scares them just enough? They fly to Nepal. They lace up their boots. They walk, slowly and steadily, all the way to the base of the highest mountain in the world. And they come back changed. This is that story. And so it begins.
