Women Embrace Wildflower Walk and Lunch - Dudley NSW

About the Adventure:   Join us for this gorgeous walk through this fantastic green space just south of Newcastle. Awabakal Nature Reserve is well known for its wildflowers and we're hoping it will be in full bloom. Along the way, we'll take in spectacular seaside views and walk through some amazing coastal vegetation while we loop through the Reserve. We will take a side trip to Redhead Lagoon for some more photo opportunities of the trees reflecting in the water before enjoying a delicious picnic lunch and a hot drink. We hope you can join us.

Meeting Time: 9:30 am for a 9:45 am start 

Meeting Point: Reay Park (Ocean Street, Dudley) Details of the exact meeting point will be sent to you in the confirmation email and we'll text specific driving directions the week before our adventure.

Experience: No bushwalking experience is needed; however,  to fully enjoy this adventure, you'll need a moderate level of fitness and be comfortable walking on sand and bush trails with steps and some moderate inclines and descents.

Length: The hike is up to 7km long and will take us about 3 hours to complete, including lunch.

FAQS

What do I need to bring? We will send you a complete list when you register, but here's an idea of what you need:

-day pack (to carry your personal belongings)

-hiking boots, sturdy joggers or trail runners with excellent tread are needed

-sun hat

-sunscreen and sun-protective clothing

-bug spray

-any personal medications you may need (asthma puffer/epi-pen etc)

-waterproof jacket (in case of cold/wet weather)

-an extra warm layer in case of cold/windy weather

-hike poles (optional)

-at least 2 litres of water (remember we will be walking for a number of hours and there are no water fill-up points along the way)

-we recommend leaving an extra set of clothes in the car for after the hike in case we run into cold or wet weather along the way

I'll be coming on my own, is that ok?

Not a problem at all!  Lots of women come solo to our adventures. Your Women Embrace Adventure host will ensure everyone is introduced before we begin this beautiful hike. We always have lots of fun; there is no pressure, no judgment, and lots of encouragement from everyone.  By the end of the hike, you may have just found some new adventure friends!

Prices are correct as of 5 July 2024 and are subject to availability, withdrawal and change at any time without notice. If this trip is undersubscribed or in circumstances where external events affect the viability or safety of this trip to go ahead, Women Embrace Adventure reserves the right to cancel or reschedule and to exclude/remove any participants from this trip. If cancelled by Women Embrace Advenutre, a full refund or credit will be provided. Your booking is non-transferable to another adventure.
