Women Embrace Walking-Earp Distillery, G&T and Nibbles

Join Women Embrace Adventure on this summer evening easy walk along the banks of Throsby Creek, finishing up at Earp Distillery for a gin & tonic and cheese platter.

About the Adventure:

A terrific wander on the city fringe of Newcastle, join us to explore our backyard. This urban walk takes us along the streets of Carrington, down to the mangroves, where we'll stroll on the boardwalk through this classic coastal vegetation. Next, we'll cross Throsby Creek and walk beside the water in Maryville, looking back toward Newcastle Harbour. We'll learn a bit about the history of this gentrified area as we wander.  Finishing up at the Earp Distillery, we'll toast our evening stroll with a house-made gin & tonic (or other beverage) and share an antipasto platter. We hope you can join us for a great summer evening!

Meeting Time: 5:45pm for a 6:00pm start

Meeting Point: Carrington. More details on the meeting point will be sent in the confirmation email.  

Maximum Numbers: 12 plus your WEA guides

Fitness Level: for all fitness levels

Distance: approximately 5kms on flat pathways

• 5km walk lead by first aid qualified guides

What are the requirements for this adventure?

-This event is for women over the age of 18

-Covid Safe Check-in, proof of double vax or medical exemption

What do I need to bring?

-enclosed walking shoes 

-bug spray

-any personal medications you may need (asthma puffer/epi-pen etc.)

-waterproof jacket (in case of cold/wet weather)

-water

How fit do I need to be? This adventure is for all fitness levels. 

What if I don't have anyone to go with?  No problem at all; there is always a Women Embrace Adventure host to ensure everyone meets before we set off. By the end of the night, we are sure you will have made some new friends.​

What if I don't drink alcohol? Not a problem at all, we'll buy you a soft drink, tea/coffee instead. As always, we support safe alcohol consumption and respect non-drinkers.
