About The Adventure
The walk takes approximately 2 hrs to complete. We walk along pathways, bush tracks and fire trails as we take in the stunning views of Lake Macquarie and the surrounding Hunter areas. Mount Sugarloaf walking track is a moderate graded walk that requires a moderate level of fitness. The hike is mostly bush track walking which can be uneven under foot and includes some small inclines and steps. This walk is all about getting outdoors, getting active, meeting and having a chat with other amazing women like yourself. If in doubt, check with your doctor about your suitability. Your hosts are Wilderness first aid qualified.Â
After our walk we will stop for some of Sharons delicious baked goods and hot drinks at a beautiful picnic area.

How fit do I need to be? This hike covers approx 7kms andis mostly bush track walking which can be uneven under foot and includes some small inclines and steps. You'll need a moderate level of fitness to join us on this walk. If you're not sure about your fitness level just give us a call, we're happy to have a chat and give you all the details. This trail is not handicapped accessible at this time and pets are not allowed.Â
What do I need to bring?
-day pack (to carry your personal belongings)
-wear hiking boots, sturdy joggers or trail runners are needed
-hat
-sunscreen and sun protective clothing
-bug spray
-any personal medications you may need (asthma puffer/epi-pen etc)
-waterproof jacket (in case of cold/ wet weather)
-an extra warm layer in case of cold / windy weather
-at least 2 litres of water (remember we will be walking for quite a few hours and there are no water fill-up points along the way)
-leave an extra set of clothes in the car to change into afterwards incase we run into cold or wet weather on our walk
I'll be coming on my own, is that ok? Â
Not a problem at all! Â Lots of women come on their own to our adventures. Your Women Embrace Adventure host will make sure everyone is introduced before we set off on this beautiful hike. We always have lots of fun, there is no pressure, no judgment, and lots of encouragement from everyone. Â By the end of the hike, you may have just found some new adventure friends!
How many will be on our Hike? Â We keep our adventures quite personal. On this adventure there will be no more than 8 women your plus your WEA guides.
