About The Adventure
About the Adventure: Join us for a fantastic morning out in the great outdoors for a hike, Bushcraft Workshop and morning tea with homemade baked goods!Â
During our hike, we'll explore the traditional skills of knot tieing, building natural shelters, animal tracking and foraging for bush tucker plants in the beautiful coastal Glenrock State Conservation Area.Â
Knowing how to tie knots is an essential lifeskill for camping and time in the bush and after this 2.5-hour practical workshop you will be well on your way to becoming very handy with some classic knots, too.
This workshop 2.5 hours workshop is an introduction to bushcraft in various outdoor applications. There will be some informal theory, learning some of the classic knots and correct terminology. Then a  practical exercise in the local bush to apply the lessons learnt.
We'll visit less populated areas of Glenrock State Conservation Area with some off-track exploration.Â
We’ll take in some postcard-perfect coastal views, see terrific old-growth eucalypts, walk on wet rocky plateaus, make our way through gorgeous Glenrock forest, and take in the ocean along the lagoon. Your WEA host will carry a homemade morning tea share and we'll even boil the 'billy' for a cuppa or two. Â
