About The Adventure

Join Women Embrace Adventure and experience a tropical kayak adventure with spectacular sunsets, limestone caves, and white sandy beaches fringed with swaying coconut palms; spend two nights as honoured guests in a traditional Fijian village and finish off with three nights at an island resort swimming with the Fiji Mantas.

Kayak Fiji! We begin this spectacular Fiji sea kayaking vacation in the Yasawa Islands with a boat transfer from Nadi to our base in the Blue Lagoon. Dream of tropical islands and spectacular snorkelling as we paddle a loop among the four northernmost Islands in the chain.

Fiji is an archipelago of 330 islands with a coastline of over 1129 kilometres; the perfect island paradise for a sea kayak trip! The Yasawa group is a chain of 16 islands located northwest of Fiji's main island, Viti Levu. We spend our time in the Yasawas kayaking between islands, visiting isolated beaches, snorkelling the coral reefs and staying in a small native village getting to know the friendly locals. This is a trip that will appeal to all your senses, giving you a well-earned break from modern living.

Meals: Dinner

Accommodation: Twin Share, Nadi Hotel

Day 2 - 21st July:

After an early breakfast at the hotel, the group will transfer to Denarau marina for the boat to the islands on The Yasawa Flyer to our base on Tavewa Island by small island boat.

After our kayak briefing and instructional paddling session, we'll have a short excursion in the lagoon, then set up our tents, watch the sunset from the beach and enjoy a delicious tropical dinner. What a great way to end the first day in the islands!

Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

Accommodation: Camping

Day 3 - 22nd July:

After breakfast, we’ll pack snorkelling gear and a picnic lunch and head off to circumnavigate nearby Matacawalevu Island. We'll seek out the best coral reefs, explore a delightful maze of sandbars and, time permitting, visit the local primary school. The paddling distance today is approximately 15 km. Tonight, weather-dependent, we’ll enjoy an island BBQ at our Tavewa Island base.

Meals: Breakfast / Lunch /  Dinner

Accommodation: Camping

Day 4 - 23rd July:

Today we paddle approx 15km to Navotua village. With favourable tides, we'll have lunch, where fringing reefs run directly off the beach. The villagers of Navotua are particularly friendly, and the special warmth and reception we receive has made it the favourite spot of paddlers.   We pitch our tents on a grassy campsite and experience island village life.

Meals: Breakfast / Lunch /  Dinner

Accommodation: Camping

Day 5 - 24th July:

Today's paddle is approx 6-8 km to Sawa-I-Lau, a scenic island with sharp limestone peaks and salt-water caves that make for fascinating exploring. We round out the day with afternoon entertainment provided by the village and an invitation to join the chief for a social kava party in the evening (kava is a non-alcoholic drink with mild numbing effects).

Meals: Breakfast / Lunch /  Dinner

Accommodation: Camping

Day 6 - 25th July:

On our last kayaking day, we’ll explore the many inlets and bays of Nacula en route to our base on Tavewa Island. Time permitting, we can snorkel off the back of the island before relaxing around camp and enjoying our last island dinner together.

Meals: Breakfast / Lunch /  Dinner

Accommodation: Twin Share Bure - Barefoot Manta

Day 8 - 27th July:

Today we take part in an unforgettable must-do experience - snorkelling with the beautiful Fiji Manta Rays. Barefoot Manta Island Resort Fiji's location is unique, only a 1-minute boat ride from a Manta Ray feeding site. From April - October, Fiji Manta Rays feed in a narrow nutrient-rich channel of water between Drawaqua Island (Barefoot Manta Island Resort Fiji's location) and Naviti Island. With all things in nature, there are no guarantees we will see the rays, but Manta Rays are usually there every day during the season.

Meals: Breakfast / Lunch /  Dinner

Accommodation: Twin Share Bure - Barefoot Manta

Day 9 - 28th July:

Today we take part in a private session with our resident marine biologist. To start off, we will spend some time in the Marine Conservation Centre, where you'll be briefed on the current projects. Then you'll join the marine biologist on the reef, see the projects first-hand and where possible actually participate in conservation activities. In the afternoon, play some beach volleyball, relax with a book in a hammock or take a walk around the island.

Meals: Breakfast / Lunch /  Dinner

Accommodation: Twin Share Bure - Barefoot Manta

Day 10 - 29th July:

Spend the morning around the resort, take a walk, or read a book - the morning is free for you to enjoy.  We board the Yasawa Flyer after lunch and arrive back at Denarau Marina in Nadi at approximately 6.00 pm. We'll check into our hotel and head out for our final team dinner to celebrate our amazing adventure.

Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner
