About The Adventure

Registration closes 24 hrs prior. This Hikenic is a women’s only guided hike along the Yuelarbah Walking Track in Glenrock State Conservation area with 2 Embrace Escape hosts leading the way.

Meeting point: Yuelarbah picnic area, Burwood Road, Kahiba, NSW. Meet us on Saturday the 3rd Of March at 8:15am at the latest so we can start our walk at 8:30 am sharp.

About the Hike: The walk is a hosted 6km walk commencing at a raised boardwalk, the scenic track leads you along Flaggy Creek, through wet gullies and coastal rainforest, and if that’s not enough you will pass 2 waterfalls (dependant on rainfall) before finishing at the beautiful Glenrock Beach. Take some time to take in the sights and sounds of the beach and if you’re up to it you can climb to the top of the hill to see a spectacular view of the beach from above. From the beach, we will walk back along the Burwood trail and meet back up to the Yuelarbah track and back to the carpark. This walk is a moderate track including some short steep hills, boardwalks, bush tracks and quite a few steps both up and down. Don’t worry we are in no rush so just take your time.  If in doubt, check with your doctor about your suitability.  Your hosts are first aid qualified.

About the Picnic: We'll end the walk with a light morning tea including healthy snack and cold refreshing drinks.  We can work within your dietary needs so let us know when you book.

Cost: $18 with $5 of every Hikenic booked going towards our Chosen 2018 Charity - Restore One.   Payment due in full upon booking. Pay Pal or direct credit card accepted through our secure site.  Credit card payments are safely facilitated by Square.

I haven’t done this before, will I be fit enough? This hike covers easy to moderate levels of terrain, most is flat and paved but there are a few moderate hills and stairs so we recommend having a moderate level of fitness so you can enjoy your surroundings.  No one gets left behind, with 2 guides we will have one at the front and one at the end to support all hikers.  This trail is not handicapped accessible at this time and pets are not allowed in the Glen Rock State Conservation Park.

Do I need to bring anything with me? Just make sure you wear a pair of joggers or hiking boots, and bring along a water bottle and a hat and sunscreen (swimmers if you would like to take a dip in the lagoon or Ocean). We'll bring your morning tea and a first aid kit.

What if I don’t have anyone to go with? No problem at all, there are 2 Embrace Escape hosts to make sure everyone is introduced to everyone before we set off. By the end of the Hikenic we are sure you would have found some new friends.

Booking terms and Conditions: Payment for Hikenics are final once you receive a confirmation email.  No refunds will be given. This is an all weather event.  For full T&C see our webpage.
