Embrace Hiking Half Day Adventure and Morning Tea - Blackbutt Reserve

A beautiful bush reserve in the middle of Newcastle, the Blackbutt Reserve is a nature oasis! This Hike is a women’s only guided hike along the Blackbutt Circuit Walking Track in Blackout Reserve a Women Embrace Adventure hosts leading the way.​

About the Hike: Blackbutt Circuit Walk is 7km, moderate graded walk. We'll hike, chat and enjoy the scenery for a couple of hours then head to a popular cafe for a coffee and sweets which are included in your booking. This walk is a good longer option walking experience at Blackbutt Reserve and visits the two larger picnic areas of Richley Reserve and Carnley Reserve as well as the Lily pond and Rain Forest picnic areas. 

Cost: $35 including guided hike followed by yummy morning tea.

​I haven’t done this before, will I be fit enough?  This hike covers easy to moderate levels of terrain, most paths are paved but there are a few moderate hills and stairs so we recommend having a moderate level of fitness so you can enjoy your surroundings.  Don’t worry, we aren't in a rush so we can take our time and enjoy this beautiful spot  We are Wilderness first aid qualified. ​This trail is not handicapped accessible at this time and pets are not allowed.

Do I need to bring anything with me? Just make sure you wear a comfortable pair of joggers or hiking boots, a hat, sunscreen, bug spray and bring along a water bottle.  We'll bring some snacks and a first aid kit.​

What if I don’t have anyone to go with?  No problem at all, lots of women come to our adventures on their own. Your Women Embrace Adventure host to make sure everyone is introduced before we set off and by the end, you may have found some new adventure friends.
