About The Adventure

About the Hike: This hike is a beautiful 12 km walk from Berowra Train station to Kuring-gai Train Station. From the ridges above Cowan Creek, this walk takes in some great lookouts (especially around Mt Kuring-gai) as well as enjoying an extremely pleasant bush track along the creek. We will take the time to enjoy the many creek side rest areas along the way stopping to catch our breath and take in the beautiful scenery. This track gives walkers a good taste of what Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park has to offer.  We estimate the hike will take 5- 6 hours in total, taking into consideration morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea breaks as well as time to enjoy our surrounds.

Meeting point: Berowra train station, NSW.

Cost: $85 includes WEA Wilderness first aid qualified guides, lunch and snacks for morning tea and afternoon tea.

Payment for Hikes is final once you receive a confirmation email.  No refunds will be given however can be transferred to another woman over 18 for this hike.

How fit do I need to be? This hike covers approx 12 kms of moderate to hard (graded 4) levels of terrain. We follow an uneven trail which can be uneven, rocky and slippery at times. There are steps and several up and down hills to contend with-the views and the scenery are worth it though. You'll need a moderate to a high level of fitness to join us on this walk. If you're not sure about your fitness levels just drop us an email at info@womenembraceadventure.com.au and we will be happy to give you a call to discuss. This trail is not handicapped accessible at this time and pets are not allowed.

Do I need to bring anything with me? Yes, please come prepared for a full day of hiking. You'll need to wear a pair of hiking boots or a sturdy pair of joggers or trail running shoes, a hat, sunscreen, any personal medication you may need, a day pack (to carry your personal belongings as well as morning and afternoon tea that will be provided by WEA), waterproof jacket (in case of cold/ wet weather), at least 3 litres of water (remember this is an all-day hike and we will be walking for quite a few hours). Don't forget an Opal card if you are catching the train back to your parked car.

What if I don’t have anyone to go with?  No problem at all, lots of our ladies come on adventures by themselves. There are always 2 Women Embrace Adventure hosts to make sure everyone is introduced before we set off. By the end of the hike, we are sure you would have found some new outdoor friends.

How many women will be on the hike? We like to keep things personal at Women Embrace Adventure, generally, there will be between 8-12 women and your guides.

Booking terms and Conditions: Payment for Hikes are final once you receive a confirmation email.  No refunds will be given however can be transferred to another woman for this hike. This is an all weather event. For full T&C see our webpage.
