About The Adventure
Scenic Lookout, Waratahs, Emerald Pools – A sensational day!
What to Expect
We'll explore Glenworth Valley on this 10-km loop hike, on a quest to spy as many Waratahs as possible. Their season is fleeting, and now is the time!
We'll wander down to the creek, looking for some of the park’s many glossy black cockatoos and a honeyeater or two, making a stop at the Emerald Pool, named for its deep green hue. After a homemade morning tea, we'll head back up the trail for more scenic vistas.
This hike is rated moderate, ideal for those with a good level of fitness and some hiking experience. Expect a mix of natural terrain, fire trails, rocky sections, and uneven surfaces—some of which can be slippery, even in dry weather. But don’t worry, we’ll take our time, enjoy the journey, and embrace every moment of this inland gem.
