Wildlife encounters can never be guaranteed, but this is an exciting area to keep watch for these graceful giants.Depending on the wind, currents and sea conditions, our guides will choose either the northern or southern coastline of Mansuar Island. As the jungle comes alive at dawn, we’ll watch for the spectacular males performing their elaborate dances and displaying their brilliant plumage—a truly unforgettable Raja Ampat wildlife experience.After returning to our homestay, we’ll enjoy a final morning snorkel, swimming amongst schools of tropical fish, large turtles and perhaps even a reef shark.Following an early lunch, we’ll pack up and travel to Waisai for the ferry back to Sorong, arriving at approximately 4 pm. We’ll then check into our Sorong hotel for the final night of our WEA adventure.This evening, we’ll come together for a special WEA celebration dinner. Who is this adventure for?This adventure is for women aged 18 and over who love the water, enjoy active travel and are ready to embrace a remote and authentic experience.You’ll need good mobility, a moderate to high level of fitness, previous kayaking experience and confidence swimming in open water. You should also be comfortable with tropical conditions, basic homestays and a flexible itinerary.Will I be able to sea kayak?If you are reasonably fit, confident in the water and have some previous kayaking experience, you should be able to enjoy this adventure. Sea kayaking can be compared to brisk walking or cycling—the fitter you are, the more comfortable and enjoyable the paddling will be.You’ll receive a thorough kayaking and safety briefing, with time to become familiar with the equipment. However, this is a genuine sea-kayaking adventure, so we strongly recommend getting some practice in a sit-in kayak before departure.Do I need previous kayaking experience?Yes. You don’t need to be an expert, but WEA requires participants to have some previous kayaking experience.If you haven’t recently paddled a sit-in kayak, we strongly recommend arranging some tuition and practice before the trip. Keep an eye on the WEA website for upcoming kayaking days.How fit do I need to be?A moderate to high level of fitness is required. Cancellation Fees Apply: When you book with us at Women Embrace Adventure, we work hard to organise your adventure right from the start; we forward book and pay our third party providers early to ensure everyone can have the best experience possible. The reason we have cancellation fees is the money you pay in deposit, holding fees and payments are used to pay other small tourism businesses and local guides. Embrace Raja Ampat Kayaking Adventure—Trip-Specific Terms and ConditionsBy making a booking, you agree to these trip-specific conditions, the Women Embrace Adventure Terms and Conditions and the applicable Waiver of Liability.Your booking becomes confirmed once your required deposit has been processed and Women Embrace Adventure has sent you a confirmation email.Important Booking InformationThis is a women-only adventure for participants aged 18 years and over.These conditions apply to the November 2027 Raja Ampat departure.Places are available until sold out.The trip requires a minimum of six and accepts a maximum of eight paying participants.The advertised price is per person and does not include international or domestic airfares, personal travel insurance or other items identified as excluded.Accommodation comprises two nights in Sorong and six nights in locally operated island homestays.Room configurations at the homestays may vary, and twin-share accommodation cannot be guaranteed at every property.A non-refundable deposit of $900 per person is required to secure a place.The remaining balance and payment dates will be shown on your invoice.Payment may be made by direct deposit without a fee. Card payment fees, if applicable, will be disclosed before payment.Prices are correct as of 10th August 26 and may be subject to change before final payment if unavoidable supplier costs, permit charges, taxes, fuel prices or exchange rates change.Travel InsuranceComprehensive travel insurance is mandatory and must be purchased when booking.Your policy must cover:Trip cancellation and interruptionSea kayaking and snorkellingMedical treatmentEmergency evacuation and repatriation from a remote locationTravel delays and missed connectionsLost, stolen or damaged luggage and equipmentYou must provide the insurer’s name and your policy number when requested. Women Embrace Adventure may refuse or suspend your participation without refund if you cannot provide evidence of appropriate insurance.Health, Fitness and ExperienceThis is an active adventure in a remote tropical environment with limited access to medical services.Participants must:Have good mobility and a moderate to high level of fitnessBe confident swimmersHave some previous paddling experienceBe comfortable kayaking for approximately two to six hours on some daysBe able to enter and exit a kayak and participate in swimming and snorkelling activitiesBe comfortable with hot, humid conditions and basic accommodationFollow all reasonable safety directions given by the tour leaders and guidesYou may be required to complete a medical questionnaire. If you have a pre-existing medical condition, injury or disability, WEA may request clearance from your medical practitioner.You must disclose anything that could reasonably affect your ability to participate safely or require medical assistance during the trip. Failure to make an appropriate disclosure may result in your participation being cancelled without refund.Remote Travel and Assumption of RiskRaja Ampat is a remote destination. Medical services, communications, transport and emergency assistance may be limited or unavailable, and evacuation may be prolonged and expensive.This adventure involves inherent risks associated with:Sea kayaking and open-water crossingsSwimming and snorkellingCoral reefs and marine lifeSlippery or uneven terrainTropical heat, humidity, rain and changing weatherBoat and ferry travelRemote accommodation and limited communicationsDelays or changes to transport and local servicesBy booking, you acknowledge these conditions and accept the inherent risks associated with participating in this adventure. A separate Waiver of Liability must be completed before departure.Itinerary ChangesThe published itinerary is an approximate guide and a statement of intention only.Raja Ampat’s weather, sea conditions, ferry schedules, local transport, guesthouse availability and other logistical factors may require changes. New guesthouses may open and others may close between publication and departure.WEA, its guides and its local operator may reasonably change the route, accommodation, timing or activities when necessary for safety, operational reasons or to improve the group’s experience. Any substitute services will be of a reasonably comparable standard where circumstances allow.Participants must allow flexibility and understand that the journey may differ from the published itinerary.AccommodationThe tour includes two hotel nights in Sorong and six nights in locally operated island homestays.The homestays are simple structures made from local materials. Facilities vary and may include:Shared bedrooms or varying room configurationsShared bathroomsBucket showers and bucket-flush toiletsMosquito netsGenerator electricity for limited evening hoursLimited or no internet and mobile receptionNo air conditioning or hot running waterParticipants must bring their own sleeping sheets and any other items identified in the final packing list.Meals and Dietary RequirementsMeals during the island portion of the trip are prepared by local Papuan families and generally include fish, rice, noodles, fruit and vegetables.You must advise WEA of all allergies and dietary requirements when booking and include them on your medical form. While reasonable efforts will be made, the remoteness of the destination means that not all dietary preferences can be accommodated.Participant Conduct and Tour Leader AuthorityParticipants must follow the reasonable instructions of the WEA host, kayak guide, Papuan guide and local operators.WEA may remove a participant from the trip when their conduct, health, fitness or failure to follow safety instructions creates a reasonable risk to themselves or others, seriously disrupts the group or involves unlawful behaviour.A participant removed from the trip will be responsible for their resulting accommodation, transport, medical and other expenses. Any refund will be determined in accordance with the standard WEA Terms and Conditions and applicable consumer law.Evacuation or WithdrawalIf you withdraw or require evacuation, you are responsible for the resulting transport, logistical, communication, accommodation and medical costs unless the law provides otherwise.These costs may be substantial and should be claimed through your travel insurer where the policy allows.Passport, Visa and Entry RequirementsYou are responsible for holding a valid passport and meeting all Indonesian visa, immigration, health and entry requirements.Your passport should have at least six months’ validity beyond your intended travel dates and sufficient blank pages.
