Escape the everyday and discover the magic of nature at the Hunter Wetlands Centre Newcastle. Just 10 minutes drive from Newcastle's CBD, this incredibly diverse and protected 45 hectare natural eco-system will open your eyes to what is one of the most important Egret breeding grounds in Australia, not to mention the reptile and baby crocodile enclosures. And if you know your ducks, the Hunter Wetlands houses one of the oldest and rarest duck breeds in the world - the famous 'Freckled Duck'.

All this and more will be viewed while being guided through a mini rain and pine forest, over board walks, and around diverse bush tracks and trails on your very own Segway.

Fun, entertaining and unique with the added bonus of a 'light footprint'.... one tour will never be enough.It will take less than 30 seconds to get your 'Segway legs' while supervised by a qualified guide. Our Segway Adventures take you 'off road' and are suitable for both first time and experienced riders.

Experience the phenomenon that is Segway with the wind in your hair while riding amongst nature. You will have so much fun you won't want to get off!

What are the requirements for this adventure?

This event is for women over the age of 18 There is a weight restriction for the Segways of 120kg



What do I need to bring?

- enclosed shoes - no thongs or sandals are allowed on the segway - hat - sunscreen and sun-protective warm clothing - bug spray - any personal medications you may need (asthma puffer/epi-pen etc) - waterproof jacket (in case of cold/ wet weather) - an extra warm layer - water



How fit do I need to be?

This adventure is for all fitness levels.



What if I don’t have anyone to go with?

No problem at all, there is always a Women Embrace Adventure host to make sure everyone is introduced to everyone before we set off. By the end of the day, we are sure you would have found some new friends.​

Terms & Conditions

Payment for WEA half day adventures are final once you receive a confirmation email. No refunds will be given but can be transferred to another lady over the age of 18, please email us before the adventure and provide her contact details. This is an all-weather event.
