Join us to explore beautiful Port Stephens on this fabulous 10km hike. Walk along the the foreshore of beautiful bays, through the streets, up to Stephens Peak and through Port Stephens Native Gardens on this leisurely Friday walk. It is a fabulous day out and we hope you can join us.

About The Adventure
Join us and explore Port Stephens on foot - what better way to discover the gorgeous beaches, local streets and hidden charms of this beautiful coastal enclave. Â We will start our walk at Fly Point Park and make our way along the foreshore, past Little Beach and along to Shoal Bay taking in the views over the ocean while we walk. Â Once at Shoal Bay we'll head up to Stephens Peak on a lesser known side track to find spectacular views across to Nelson Bay, Fingal Bay and Tea Gardens. What a top spot for morning tea! Retracing our steps back towards Nelson Bay, we'll finish with a wander through Port Stephens Native Gradens. Take your time through the gardens as your WEA hosts get a delicious lunch ready for you in the park looking over Nelson Bay .Â

Fitness Level: A moderate level of fitness is requiredÂ
Experience: no experience is needed but you must have a moderate level of fitness and be confident in walking approx 10 km
About the Walk / grading: This hike is graded level 3 - 4, includes a few hills, some uneven ground, stairs and beach walking. It will take about 3.5 hours so you will need a moderate level of fitness to comfortably complete the 10 km. Click here for details about grading

How fit do I need to be? This bushwalk covers easy to moderate levels of terrain, most of it is flat and paved but there are a few moderate hills, some uneven ground and stairs so we recommend having a moderate level of fitness so you can enjoy your surroundings. Â No one gets left behind, with two Women Embrace Adventure guides at this event we will have one at the front and one at the end to support all walkers. Â This trail is not handicapped accessible and not pet-friendly.
What do I need to bring?
-day pack (to carry your personal belongings)
-wear hiking boots, sturdy joggers or trail runners
-sunscreen and sun-protective clothing
-hat
-bug spray
-any personal medications you may need (asthma puffer/epi-pen etc)
-waterproof jacket (in case of cold/ wet weather)
-an extra warm layer in case of cold/windy weather
-at least 2 litres of waterÂ
-Bring your swimmers if your keen for a dip in the ocean at the halfway/morning tea point, but please note it is not a patrolled beach. Change rooms, toilets/showers are available.
I'll be coming on my own, is that ok? Â
Not a problem at all! Â Lots of women come on their own to our adventures. Your Women Embrace Adventure host will make sure everyone is introduced before we set off on our walk. We always have lots of fun; there is no pressure, no judgment, and lots of encouragement from everyone. By the end of the walk you may have just found some new adventure friends!
How many will be on our bushwalk? Â We keep our adventures quite personal. On this adventure, there will be no more than 14 women plus your WEA guides.

Your booking is final once your payment is processed and a confirmation email is sent to you. No refunds will be given but your can pay it forward to another lady over the age of 18. Please email us at least 24 hours before the adventure and provide her contact details. This is an all-weather event. If cancelled by Women Embrace Adventure, a credit or full refund will be provided.
This is a women's only adventure. Valid for sale until sold out. Advertised prices are per person. Prices are correct as of 13 January 2023 and are subject to availability, withdrawal and change at any time without notice due to fluctuations in charges and currency.
All current government safety and health guidelines at the time of booking and departure must be adhered to, including all Covid-19 requirements. Any additional costs related to but not limited to government travel restrictions are the responsibility of the individual traveller and not Women Embrace Adventure. If this trip is undersubscribed or in circumstances where external events affect the viability or safety of this trip to go ahead, Women Embrace Adventure reserves the right to cancel or reschedule and to exclude/remove any participants from this trip. Your booking is non-transferable.
