About The Adventure

About the Hike: This hike is a beautiful 12.5 km walk from Berowra Train station to Kuring-gai Train Station. From the ridges above Cowan Creek, this walk takes in some great lookouts (especially around Mt Kuring-gai) as well as enjoying an extremely pleasant bush track along the creek. We will take the time to enjoy the many creek side rest areas along the way stopping to catch our breath and take in the beautiful scenery. We visit Apple Tree Bay where we will have a fresh / healthy picnic lunch. This track is part of the Great North Walk and gives walkers a good taste of what Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park has to offer. We estimate the hike will take 4.5 - 6 hours in total (not including travel time), taking into consideration morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea breaks as well as time to enjoy our surrounds.

Meeting point: Berowra train station, NSW. Meet us on the on Saturday 27th April at 8:30am out the front of the station around the Berowra Train Station sign. Please note: Your WEA hosts will be catching the train down and back from Fassifern station and we would love you to join us. If you would like to train it with us please meet on platform 1 at Fassifern station at 6am to catch the 6:13am train. We will then catch the train from Mt Kuring-gai back to Fassifern on the way home, arriving home around 5:30pm.

Cost: $80 includes WEA first aid qualified guide, lunch, morning and afternoon tea.
