Katrina and Sharon would love you to join us for our Women Embrace Adventure Christmas Party. Come and celebrate our adventures, catch up with some of your fellow WEA adventurers and give back to our charity partner 'Jennys Place' by helping us raise money to help fill our WEA Life Baskets.

The night will be a casual affair starting with a glass of bubbles on arival as you mingle with the wonderful women of the WEA community. A Grazing table will be set up for you to snack on throughout the night. There will be music, fun, games and a lot of laughter, everything you have come to expect from any WEA event. There may even be some surprises throughout the night as well.

WHEN: Thursday 10th December
TIME: 6:00PM - 9:00PM
LOCATION: Lake Macquarie Yacht Club. Ada Street, Belmont NSW
TICKETS: numbers are limited due to Covid restrictions so please just purchase one ticket for yourself.
COST: $30 per ticket - this money goes towards our WEA LIfe Baskets (please note: due to covid restrictions we have had to limit the number of tickets for our Christmas party therefore limited tickets to one per person)
THEME / DRESS CODE: Teal, Turquoise and Tinsel... come dressed in the Christmas spirit by wearing the WEA colours with a hint of tinsel (or anything Christmas)

A little bit about Jennys Place...

Jenny’s Place was the first refuge established in the Hunter and have been supporting women and children in our area for 43 years. The vision for the organisation started in 1977 by a group of strong and passionate women who believed that women and children experiencing domestic violence deserved to have a safe place where they could receive the support and assistance they required to live a life free from violence and abuse.

Their Domestic Violence Resource Centre is only one of its kind in Newcastle and it has been running for 12 years without proper funding. Jenny’s amazing team have managed to keep the place running all this time on small grants, donations, philanthropic money and the very generous community of Newcastle.

Kat and Sharon, founders of Women Embrace Adventure are pleased to partner with Jenny’s Place in 2020-2021. A portion of all proceeds from their adventures goes towards WEA New Life Baskets for women and children moving from a shelter to independent living. Paying it forward…one adventure at a time.
