DAY 2: Tuesday, December 1st – Phnom Penh

DAY 3: Wednesday, December 2nd – Phnom Penh

Visit the Killing Fields - we take you to where the genocide of Cambodia is remembered.

These places give you an understanding of the history of Cambodia and the subsequent poverty that

hit in the years that followed. These are emotional places but an essential visit to put everything else in

perspective that you see on your trip. (Our village is surrounded by killing fields as well).

In the afternoon we visit the local markets for a unique shopping experience you won't soon forget.

DAY 4: Thursday, December 3rd – Phnom Penh

Beginning the day, we have a slum challenge, with all the fun details revealed over breakfast. In the afternoon we visit the She Rescue Visitor Centre where you will get an understanding of child sex abuse in Cambodia and the horrors of human trafficking. Bring a few $$ for gifts to take home.

DAY 5: Friday, December 4th– Phnom Penh

In the morning we visit the local hospital, and this is where we will start to give back, visiting those who may not have anyone to care for them in hospital. In the afternoon we visit the Open Arms Training Centre for “at risk women.”  We'll enjoy lunch at their café and also have an opportunity for a  little pampering in the salon – hair, nails, and massage. Bring an extra few $$ to spend.

[Meals: B, L, D]

DAY 6 - 11: Saturday, December 5th-10th December. Kampong Thom Village

This is where we get to make a real difference as we spend the week in a village.  Kampong Thom is the second-largest province in Cambodia, and the village where we will work is one of the poorest in that province. Throughout the week you will take part in many different areas of volunteering in hygiene classes,  assisting with teaching in the classrooms, building and so much more.  You'll get a chance to make some new friends and experience a very different way of life.  There will be time for R&R too.
